DAY 3: TAF

Hi Tasayu,

Sounds and looks like you are off to a great start . Are you ready for Day 3? I hope so. Its all about anime.

Assignment #1: Find 15 anime fans and interview them asking the following questions: Who are you and where are you from? Why are you attending the fair? What do you like so far about the fair? Who’s your favorite exhibitor? What’s your favorite anime and why? Feel free to come up with some of your own questions.

 

Assignment #2: At TAF, interview 2 industry representatives or artists about who they are, what they do, and why they do what they do.

 

Assignment #3: At TAF, make your way to the Japanime booth and have any one of the artists draw you.  Then learn to do it yourself – if there’s time.

 

Assignment #4: Leave TAF and head to Studio Gonzo.  They are one of the only studios to use 2D and CGI together.  Try for an interview with Shin Ishikawa, CEO of GDH. Take a tour and learn about the animation process.
